Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg (OTH Regensburg) offers its students an excellent basis for a successful career. The technical university of applied sciences has around 11,000 students. 50 practice-oriented bachelor and master degree programmes in engineering, business studies, design, architecture, health and social studies offer high quality teaching and research. Modern facilities, such as 120 state-of- the-art laboratories and an award-winning library located on an attractive campus provide the basis for successful studies.

OTH Regensburg’s areas of expertise are energy & mobility, information & communication, life sciences & ethics, production & systems and building & infrastructure. These areas are tied together by expertise in sensor technology and digitalization.

The university is well-known for its excellence in applied research, and benefits from an active network of around 150 partners in industry. Cooperative applied research spans fields such as renewable energy, sensor technology, mechatronics, bioengineering, computer sciences and automotive engineering.

OTH Regensburg has about 200 partnerships with universities all over the world, including partner universities in Australia. For instance, business students from OTH Regensburg have the opportunity to obtain a double degree from the University of the Sunshine Coast. The international office offers advice to international students and information on all aspects of studying and living in Regensburg. A buddy programme, mentoring, orientation weeks and a broad choice of language courses are only some examples of how OTH Regensburg makes international students feel at home on campus and in the city.

As one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Germany, Regensburg offers an impressive history that dates back to Roman times. Notable historical sites such as the medieval town centre, gothic cathedral and the 12th century stone bridge are all part of UNESCO World Heritage. At the same time, it is a modern city that offers a cosmopolitan outlook and a high standard of secure living with great opportunities to spend studying and leisure time.
