Certificate Programmes
Certificate Programmes offer attractive qualifications to enrich your professional skillset.
The Certification Programmes are composed of multiple AW Modules which usually require several semesters to complete. Therefore, it is advisable to plan the Certificate Programmes in advance and to begin them in good time.
Some certificate programmes can be completed by all OTH students, while others are reserved for students’ specific degree programmes such as technical subjects, architecture, or computer science. Please note that some of the certificate programmes can only be successfully completed in the German language.
After you have completed the required coursework, you can request the certificate via this form. Certificates can only be issued after completion of your studies together with your diploma.
The individual modules which make up a certificate programme can also be recognised as AW Modules for your degree programme, as long as this is allowed by your SPO.
For all OTH students

For a position abroad - whether for study, internship or work - proof of foreign language proficiency is often required. There are several types of certification, so it is important to carefully check which tests or certificates are accepted, especially for study abroad.
A DAAD language certificate is acceptable for some programs or scholarships as proof of language proficiency. After successfully completing an AW language course at OTH Regensburg, the instructor or examiner can issue a DAAD certificate for the respective foreign language. To obtain the certificate, present the DAAD form to the instructor of your language course. The examination should not be older than two years. Proof of English proficiency can also be obtained without attending a course by presenting the results of the "onSET English" test (University of Regensburg), also not older than two years. All instructors in the AW language program are qualified to issue a DAAD certificate; or the Secretariat AW can confirm the onSET English test results. |
Language tests such as IELTS or TOEFL for English, DELE for Spanish or DELF for French have a high international recognition value. Especially for a study abroad, these demanding exams are often required by universities. For more information about these tests, please contact the relevant testing organisation directly. |
