Practical requirements (previous practice)
Many degree programmes require a several-week pre-study internship. Prospective students who cannot prove that they have completed a subject-specific practical training (e.g. school-leavers who have completed their A-levels or applicants who change their field of study after completing their Fach- or Berufsoberschule with regard to the desired higher education study programme), generally have to complete a preparatory internship of several weeks related to the subject area before beginning their studies. The pre-study internship lasts 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the course of study, and must be completed by the start of the course of study. There are exceptions to this rule in some degree programmes. The university cannot arrange places for a pre-study internship. Information about pre-study internships

Preparatory course in mathematics
The East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences (OTH Regensburg) offers first-year students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Information Technology the opportunity to refresh their mathematical knowledge from school in a two-week preparatory course. The course does not anticipate the contents of the course of study, nor does it go beyond the knowledge gained at the A-levels. Information and registration

The General Student Advisory Service provides personal, confidential and free advice to students and applicants on all questions relating to studying and coping with everyday life during their studies. General Student Advisory Service.

(For detailed questions on the admission procedure, please contact the Student Administration Office.)

Which application procedure applies depends on the choice of degree programme. Bachelor's programmes can be taken with or without admission restriction (NC). Information on how to apply.
