Civil Engineering (Building and Infrastructure Rehabilitation)

Welcome to the Faculty of Civil Engineering

Civil engineers design buildings, infrastructures and even whole cities with a keen sense of social responsibility. They create a sustainable technical framework for the supplies and services on which civil society depends and for the protection of our natural environment. The Faculty of Civil Engineering of OTH Regensburg offers two excellent degree courses based on professional practice: the BEng Civil Engineering and MEng Civil Engineering (Building and Infrastructure Rehabilitation). The taught theoretical knowledge is put to practical use during the course through close partnership with building contractors, consulting engineers, associations and planning authorities. OTH Regensburg encourages practice-oriented studies by getting contractors, consulting engineers and authorities involved in course-related project work and dissertations or as part of integrated dual study courses.

The MEng degree programme is of high practical and theoretical quality taught by our own teaching staff plus selected highly reputable external lecturers. Research work, with the focus on “Building and Infrastructure Rehabilitation”, is carried out in co-operation with other educational institutions at national and international level. The faculty may also confer doctorates in co-operation with a German university.
