Master Management and Communications (part-time)

This part-time MA degree programme running over four semesters will equip students with interdisciplinary skills in the performance of management tasks, instruct them in the professional management of communication processes in organisations and enable them to work unsupervised in a professional capacity. This is achieved by exploring and reflecting on major current theories of communication and their application in learning environments that are designed to be close to actual practice (e.g. group discussions, case simulation, project reports), and raising awareness of scientific aspects and issues that are of relevance to management practice. The course of studies Master Management and Communications is accredited and bears the seal of the German Accreditation Council; successful completion of the course opens access to the higher levels of the civil service and prepares the way for graduates to study for a possible PhD.

The degree programme is aimed at specialists and management personnel working in public or private organisations wishing to become qualified for a position in senior management. The average age of the students is around 35 years. The language of the course is German. Course numbers are limited to a maximum of 24.

Applicants must have gained a first degree at a university of applied sciences and have at least two years career experience.
