Update 100: 1 May 2022

It is planned to hold the 2022 summer semester as an attendance semester. At the same time, we want to continue to use and expand digital teaching where it makes didactic sense.

We would like to enable as many students as possible to enter the university within the framework of the Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance. In the following information, you can see the general conditions under which the attendance semester will take place.

In the following cases you are not allowed to enter the buildings and areas of OTH Regensburg:

  • Persons with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection
  • Persons with COVID-19 associated symptoms (acute, non-specific general symptoms, loss of smell and taste, respiratory symptoms of any severity)
  • Persons for whom a quarantine order exists

Visitors shall be appropriately informed of these exclusion criteria in advance.

Persons who have stayed in a risk area according to the Robert Koch Institute must observe certain rules before entering the Federal Republic of Germany. These can be found on the website of the Robert Koch Institute (only available in Germany).

If persons develop symptoms typical of SARS-CoV-2 infection during an event, they must immediately leave the event and the university premises and take up an offer of testing.

Persons with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection should in any case report to gesundheitsschutz(at)oth-regensburg.de. You can also contact gesundheitsschutz@oth-regensburg.de if you have any questions.

In the event of a home quarantine, all official or student duties must first be performed from home. Staff members should agree on the further procedure and the exact modalities with their respective superiors.

Information from A to Z

On the website of the Student Union for Niederbayern/Oberpfalz you will find more information about the bridging assistance.

You can still access the CIP Pool computers remotely, i. e. via another computer (e. g. at your home) and use the software installed there that you need for exercises and practical training remotely. Instructions for remote access and current information can be found in the support wiki of OTH Regensburg (only available in German).

Please use remote access to the CIP pool computers exclusively for your studies and release your connection when you are finished.

Self-tests are still available at OTH Regensburg facilities or can be collected free of charge from the post offices.

Quick tests are offered for students at the test centre of the company Medicare Bayern at the campus car park at Universitätsstraße, at the test centre of the company SAL Service GmbH at Dachauplatz as well as at the test centre of the city of Regensburg at Dultplatz. The company Medicare Bayern offers the possibility to make appointments online (only available in German). For verification, a valid identification document and the smartphone must be brought along.

Students who need a deadline extension for the submission of final theses, term papers, or projects due to the closure and restrictions of the various institutions of OTH Regensburg, please contact the chairman of the examination board and your supervisor.

The mandatory mask requirement at OTH Regensburg has been lifted with effect from 1 May 2022. Irrespective of this, lecturers in their courses as well as persons with customer contact in their work areas can issue a mandatory mask requirement.

Great caution and active health protection are still required. In consideration of all university staff, it is recommended that FFP2 masks continue to be worn voluntarily.

You can find information about the services of the Mensa and cafeteria on the website of the Student Union for Niederbayern/Oberpfalz.

The regulations on the individual standard period of study and examinations in the Bavarian Higher Education Act, which have been in force since the summer semester 2020, have been extended again and will therefore also apply in the winter semester 2021/2022.

Subject-related semester deadlines and deadlines that are bound to the standard period of study are automatically postponed or extended by one semester. This gives you more time to take exams. On the other hand, the regulations on the individual standard period of study will also be extended to the winter semester 2021/2022. This will again result in an automatic corresponding extension of the maximum BAföG funding period. The amendment to the law applies retroactively from 1 October 2021.

The Student Advisory Service or the Academic Counselling can provide you with guidance in this regard. Legally-binding information on your individual course of studies and your deadlines can be obtained from the Examinations and Internships Office. For general information on your individual standard period of study, please refer to your matriculation certificate, which you can download from the Student Service Portal.
