Doctorates at OTH Regensburg

OTH Regensburg is a research-focused university of applied sciences (UAS), providing a base for a wide range of projects involving research assistants in engineering sciences, computer science and mathematics, business studies, social and health sciences, architecture and design.

We consciously nurture our rising generation of scientific academics with our PhD student seminar scheme. In this we offer interdisciplinary seminars, visits to companies and round table meetings for doctoral students which encourage the development of soft skills and offer a networking framework.

As a ‘university of applied sciences’ (UAS), OTH Regensburg does not award doctoral degrees itself – these can only be conferred by traditional universities. OTH Regensburg can however offer postgraduates PhD’s as a cooperative doctorate or joint doctorate in conjunction with a university.
